Illumination of Sir Marcus and his mount

I am very proud to show you now what might be the proof that Sir Marcus and his infamous mount were probably more than just a legend! This is the modern reconstruction of an unpublished, nearly completely destroyed page that is likely to belong to the "Codex Manesse", found on recent excavations in Zürich. It was found near to a house that might have belonged to Professor J. Bodmer who did some research on the original Codex in the 1750s. The style and the find spot makes it very probable that it originally belonged to the famous "Codex Manesse". It might have been ripped of the original codex by on of the editor for ensuring that the medieval world of tournament and minesong remained in their serious aura. We also know that the illumination misses the page that belonged to Walther of Breisach, who was, as the legend of the famous Galloway cattle told us, was one of the close friends of Sir Marcus and his family.
